About Temporarily Obsessed KC

Hi, I’m Laura, the creator of Temporarily Obsessed KC.

I’m so glad you’re here and can’t wait to share my latest creations, favorites, and obsessions with you.

Originally from Utah,  I have a degree in Special Education and a Master’s of Education. I taught in both middle school and high school before moving out to Kansas City, Missouri for my husband to attend medical school, residency, and fellowship.

We have now lived in KC for 10 years where we have raised our four amazing kids.

I’ve always found joy in creating. I tend to get temporarily obsessed with new hobbies and skills, which is how Temporarily Obsessed KC was born.

Quilting, sewing, cross‑stitch, embroidery, painting, designing, and creating of all kinds are just a few of my passions.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!
